History of Mathematics

It was interesting to find out that over 30,000 years  ago cave men kept track of the passing seasons and the changing weather for planting by carving tally marks on caves walls or stones. Also symbols such as stones and rocks became created to represent the large numbers. I also found out that written records from 330 B.C show that Babyloians wrote amounts using clay tables. The Anicent Egyptians used objectives to represent their numbers, for example, a coil rope was symbolize as 100. In Nigeria, people used shells as currency to keep a complex number system. Knots tied in cords and strings were used for counting amounts by many cultures such as the Persians.

What color is math?

If Math could be a color , it would be red  because red  is expressed as love, passion, fire, heat etc. and so is math. Think about it, math isn't always loved and it isn't always hated, some may have what we call a passion towards it or some may have a furious anger toward it. I believe red is the perfect color for math because for one reason, they have something to do with expressing theirselves, for example red is expressed in different kinds of emotions and math is expressed by different kind of lessons.  They both have a quite a comparison with each other. So In Closing, I would just have to state that not only can math and red express themselves but they can be involved with each other for example a math problem being solve by using a red object. So If math could be a color it would be Red.

The world would be a better place without mathematics.

I disagree with this statement because if you think about it math is everywhere around us.We do math every second of our day. For Example, When we wake up to go to school we count how long it takes it us to get dress or eat just in time to don't be late for school. Just as in the book, The Math Curse, everything around us involves math.I think without math our world would not be organized enough (i.e. Time Shedules).Math isn't just important for poltical terms but it is also important for education terms as well, without math in our educational life, we wouldn't know simple math problems as we know know such as what does 1+1=? or 2x3=? etc.So therefore i disagree with this statment. This world would NOT be a better place without mathematics.
