"Fibonacci in Nature"

This passage made me learn alot. It taught me that Pine cones, Stock-market quotations, Sunflowers, Classical architecture, Reproduction of bees, and Roman poetry all have in common ; and that is they all have something to do with nature. I think Fibonacci purpose was to show us the way she does math. For example he uses  Mystical Connection. He states In nature, male bees reproduce Fibonaccially, and the number of spiral floret formations visible in many sunflowers, spiraled scales on a pine cone and segments on the surface of a pineapple have been found to match Fibonacci numbers. Now, to be honest, i didn't know that. I kind of felt confused when i was reading it but it still was entertaining =).

HOT MATH!

This song, to me made me think that i am hearing a cultural song. The images i had in my head was people danicing a traditonal dance, a mix between chinese or african dance; i couldn't decide. The emotion i felt was not actually an emotion i think, but i felt really clam and relaxed. So relax, that i felt like i wanted to sleep. No, the both visual and emotions is not realted to math, its really related to history in a way. For example the cultural dancing i mentioned earlier. =)

"Wonderlic Test "

I scored a 20 on the Wonderlic Test. I was astounded of my score. I have the average of a NFL player =). Taking this quiz was a great experience of how a NFL player intelligence work. Question:Do you think the Wonderlic test is a good indicator of NFL success? Answer: Yes i do, i believe that taking this quz makes you get in the brain of a NFL player. It makes me think, Is a NFL test like any other test we take in high school or even college? Can i get an higher score than any NFL player in the league? or is it just a test your knowledge test?  The world may never know. =)

Ten Algebraic Commandments

I found this video very intersting and smart. To me,this video tells about what to do and understand in order to pass math. To be honest, i simply enjoyed watching this video. The commandment i felt like i  broke was commandment 3 ("Thou shall do unto one side of the equation what thou dost to the other"). Before i came to Lourdes Academy, i wasn't taught  math like i am now. When i started learning about it,  i was clueless and would always forget to do the other side which ended up making me confused. Right now, i got the hang of it . I keep looking back in my notes and paying close attenttion to the teacher teaching the lesson so i can fully understand it, which i do now! =).My overall thought of this video was it was very clever to watch and i really enjoyed it !

"Mathematics Seen in Photo A"

I experience mathematics in Photo A because for one thing, the total of cars shown . There are many ways to determine a mathematical equation in Photo A. For Example w times the number of black cars = red cars, the number of black cars plus the number of white cars or just simply counting the cars is mathematics as well. Another thing in Photo A that shows mathematics is the numbers of signs shown. You can, as i said bfore , simply count them or if you are in a road trip, you can count how many green signs you will see until it gets you to your destination. So in closing i choose Photo A. =)

"The Hardest Arithmetic"

If im not mistaken, arithmetic means average. I think when they said  "The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings". I believe this means that God had gave us many blessings in life from the day we were born. Its hard to actually count all of them because God had helped us since each and every one of us came into this world. God blessed us with alot even if we needed it or not. So i think this quote is making me think is it possible to count our blessings? And my answer is no. I have to admit , i didn't really understand this assignment  but i took in thought. =)

Could I agree with Zachary?

I could not agree with Zachary because sure math is an important subject , but i feel like there are alot things that are more important than math for example: family and friends etc. Without family or friends, we wouldn't be able to have people helping us and supporting us with things for example: homework, assignments and studying. When Zachary stated that he would choose math over almost everything else i felt that he didn't actually taking that question in thought because by him saying that he chooses math, to me that means he chooses math over family, friends, his girlfriend etc. In closing, i could not agree with Zachary.
