The world would be a better place without mathematics.

I disagree with this statement because if you think about it math is everywhere around us.We do math every second of our day. For Example, When we wake up to go to school we count how long it takes it us to get dress or eat just in time to don't be late for school. Just as in the book, The Math Curse, everything around us involves math.I think without math our world would not be organized enough (i.e. Time Shedules).Math isn't just important for poltical terms but it is also important for education terms as well, without math in our educational life, we wouldn't know simple math problems as we know know such as what does 1+1=? or 2x3=? etc.So therefore i disagree with this statment. This world would NOT be a better place without mathematics.

  1. I agree with you because it's true. We use money on a daily basis. Without it the world would probably be in total chaos. People would be getting cheated out of money. It would be weird if we didn't understand or know math. It would be like we were kind of blind to certain things or in certain areas.

  2. Nicely stated Elysha! I like that you referred to Math Curse, which illustrated just how much math does impact our everyday lives. Good job!
